    performance a conversation takes place between Nezaket Ekici and Birnur Temel the assistant curator of Neighbours and the artistic programmer of Come Again The performance shows Ekici confining herself in a golden cage with 30 golden keys hanging above the cage She tries to stretch her hand and arm through the bars to grab the nearest key in order to open the door and liberate herself from the cage What starts like an easy game becomes oppressing as time passes by She barely moves her arms and hardly reaches out through the grid Her breathing gets heavier with each attempt yet she tries her luck with one key after the other until she finds the right one to escape her self chosen destiny Since the ancient times the golden cage has been one of the symbols of self inflicted confinement and imprisonment Similarly cities and entire countries as well can be compared to a golden cage The golden cage in this performance is used to express the feelings of one s confinement and suppression Ekici developed this work during her stay in the Culture Academy Villa Tarabya Istanbul within her residence scholarship between December 2013 and September 2014 The performance

    other Brazilian cities There she noticed that people greets eachother with saying Tudo bem and that is always be respond by saying Tudo bom A constant back and forth which is comparable to the PING PONG in table tennis In the performance installation table tennis players primarily from the Turkish Sinop compete in a table tennis match But the players haven t a bat or ball They have to use a imaginary bat and hit a imaginary ball The typical sound of the PING PONG in table tennis becomes a Tubo bem Tudo bom This results in a back and forth which actually takes place only in mind and yet can be followed by an audience like a real table tennis game The judges on each panel have to decide who is awarded the point and determine the winner The language and thinking replace the action of a table tennis game The movement is a movement of the Spirit This virtual game places enormous demands on the coordination ability of the players and the spectators In addition viewers are confronted in Sinop with the Brazilian language This creates a bridge between two distant cultures that play virtually together Thanks to

    with coal slag Once they have seen a coal mine near to Saarbrücken they wanted to produce a work about the cleaning process of miners This happens every day in the same room the miners arrive in their clean clothes take them off and put on their dirty working clothes When they come back from work they change their clothes in the same room They take off the dirty ones clean their bodies and put on their clean clothes and go home The miners repeat this ritual every day Nezaket Ekici and Shahar Marcus adapt this act by transforming it into a kind of team cleaning session They get dirty and clean themselves afterwards In the courtyard of Stadtgalerie Saarbrücken the audience saw two bathtubs a pile of coal slag black stones and soap The artists carry the coal slag black stones from one place to the other meanwhile they getting dirty After that they have a bath with clean water and wash their dirty clothes and their bodies This Performance belongs to the In Relation project by Nezaekt Ekici and Shahar Marcus The artworks for the In Relation project take place in the landscape and in the dessert in

    Fish Many fishs are mounted to the body of the artist from head to toe Bounded with a fine nylon thread Its looks on the one hand like a Fisch costume and on the other hand as if she herself is a fish She wlaks slowly towards a mountain of salt installed at the sea side In her performance she works with the salt in many ways like sitting on the salt hill and rolling down from it all in order to sprinkle salt to her body and bring it onto the fish More and more she becomes a salt sculpture during the process fulfilling the meaning of the name Malaka to get a living salted fish in a symbolic way After being salted the artist moves into the sea The fish as a general symbol of life is going back to the Sea were it came from whilst the sea is already heavely salted by nature The artist will become one with water salt and life in itself for the Moments she is under water When the artist comes back from the Water the public is asked to cut the fisch from her body and put on plates Afterwords

    time one of the beads is put on the plate the artist pronounces a commandment The performance ends when all the beads are scattered on the 99 surrounding plates Religious people often use a rosary for prayers to confide one s secret to god At first the rosary is not merely Christian Islamic or Jewish The Rosary in Islam consists of 33 beads of which each is repeated 3 times God is called by his different names attributes and designations and they are listed to speak out all aspects of human life In the performance the 99 beads represent commandments which can be positve or negative instructions In any case there is a requirement for a clear distinction between lawful and unlawful in religions that can be seen as a ban The performance explores the mantra like repeated bans that each religion carries in its essence The rosary is used in all religions for the purpose of prayer and is neither purely Christian or Islamic or Jewish Therefore the artist speaks out bans from all religions such as Don t eat pork and Do not kill The performance forms the rosary circle in a new way forming a chain of
