  • Contemporary Dance School Hamburg: Abschlussprojekt 2015 - ANDERERSEITS
    entfalten Die 1 und 2 Ausbildungsjahre zeigen ihre mit den Choreografen erarbeiteten Stücke am 3 und 4 Juli um 20 Uhr und am 5 Juli um 18 Uhr Als kleines Extra gibt es an den drei Abenden die Choreografie von Tomislac Jelicic die er mit dem 3 Ausbildungsjahr entwickelt hat Die Abschlussklasse des 3 Jahrgangs steht vom 9 12 Juli auf der Bühne Am 9 10 und 11 Juli beginnen die Vorstellungen jeweils um 20 Uhr am 12 Juli um 16 Uhr The graduates of all three Contemporary Dance School Hamburg CDSH years are delighted to welcome you to their final project Performances will take place in the Hamburger Sprechwerk Klaus Groth Strasse 23 In cooperation with school director Javier Báez and artistic director Raul Valdez choreographers Ursina Tossi Javier Báez Tomislav Jelicic and Fiona Gordon have created pieces with the first and second year students Third year students will present two choreographies by Raul Valdez as well as pieces by two well known international guest choreographers Teresa Ranieri from Lisbon and Idan Sharabi from Tel Aviv both of whom have been awarded numerous prizes and work all over the world Every year a new guiding theme runs through all the choreographies This year the theme is ANDERERSEITS A term that leaves various directions open presents opportunities not to lose sight of the goal which however does not exclude being on the wrong track ANDERERSEITS is a term that stands for contradiction for something else for alternatives that must always be available in life as in dance For the dancers at CDSH it is an invitation to unfold their creative potential The first and second year students will perform the pieces they have created with the choreographers on July 3 and 4 at 8 pm and on July 5 at

    time in between the customised CDSH offer could be just what you are looking for A selection of two blocks of courses is available From January 1 to July 1 or from September 1 to March 1 During the respective six month further training program participants can develop their own individual training plans with up to 12 training units per week selected from the various courses CDSH offers Furthermore every resident can use the CDSH premises to realise their own dance projects In addition experienced CDSH choreographers will provide assistance with up to six project mentoring meetings as part of the all round support CDSH offers If you like you can present the results of your creative work at the end of the six months within the frame of the Work in Progress performances in the spring or the final project at the end of the CDSH school year in the summer Terms of admission for the postgraduate further training in residence program are a completed training in contemporary dance or equivalent professional experience The school management reserves the right to decide about admission of the resident Costs for the six month postgraduate course are 280 euro a month Latest

    performer and dancer Thalia Theater Hamburg Kristofer Weinstein Storey Teaching subject Modern dance Born in the United States Kristopher trained at the Dance Theatre of Harlem and The Ailey School he is a graduate of the prestigious Juilliard School in New York where he received his BFA in Dance He performed with the Juilliard Dance Ensemble the Mark Morris Dance Group Donald Byrd The Group the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and with the Nationaltheater Mannheim He has also performed in various musicals including Cabaret Chorus Line La Cage Aux Folles and the Lion King where he was assistant to the resident director Kristofer Weinstein Storey has created choreographies for numerous dance companies and schools and is a faculty member in various training institutions for example with the Academy for Performing Arts in Frankfurt Victor Mateos Arellano Teaching subject Ballet Victor was born in Madrid where he began his ballet training a grant from the School of American Ballet enabled him to complete his dance training in New York City This was followed by engagements in various European companies including the Víctor Ullate Ballet Madrid the Het National Ballet in Amsterdam the Hamburg Ballet the Ballett Mainz and the ballet company of the Semperoper in Dresden He made guest appearances with Jacoby Pronk the Lithuanian Ballet and recently danced with the Alonzo King Lines Ballet in San Francisco His repertory ranges from classical ballet to contemporary dance and includes choreographies from Rudi van Dantzig William Forsythe Georges Balanchine John Neumeier Maguy Marin Martha Graham D Dawson Jyri Kylian Pascal Touzeau and Alonzo King Annett Walter Teaching subject Contact improvisation Born in Hamburg Annett studied applied arts at the HfBK as well as education and movement studies at the University of Hamburg In addition to ballet modern dance and martial arts she continued her professional development by participating in several national and international courses including Laban Bartenieff movement analysis Engagements and project work as a dancer and choreographer in contemporary dance Founded the Tanzinitiative Hamburg e V in Hamburg in 1993 Annett s educational work includes improvisation dance theatre contact improvisation body work and Laban movement analysis in the free dance and theatre scene since 1993 She has also been a member of dance faculties at international dance conferences and in educational training institutions Lisa Chase Classical Ballet Lisa was born in the United States where she studied classical ballet and contemporary dance She trained with Ernest Pagnano and Marjorie Mussman in New York focusing on Limon technique and with Belinda Wright and Brian Loftus in London As a soloist with the Milwaukee Ballet the Princeton Ballet and the Des Moines Ballet she danced both contemporary choreographies as well as the classical repertoire She was also a member of the Tanztheater Regensburg in Koblenz and in the Vienna production of Phantom of the Opera Lisa works as a modern dance and musical choreographer in Vienna and Hamburg and teaches ballet and contemporary dance in various institutions Tanja Báez School Management Classical
